Research Thrusts

The research team at the the UrbanResilience(dot)AI Lab focuses on solving the challenges pertaining to the nexus of humans, disasters, and infrastructure systems. Our goal is to conduct Convergence Interdisciplinary Research to create network-centric, human-cetric, and data-centric knowledge and solutions to improve urban resilience and sustainability through a complex systems approach. The research team focuses on five interconnected research thrusts:

  • Thrust A: Complex Modeling of Urban Systems

  • Thrust B: Disaster Informatics

  • Thrust C: Network Dynamics of Interdependent Systems

  • Thrust D: Human-Centric Infrastructure Resilience

  • Thrust E: Urban Informatics for Resilience Intelligence
