Here in the Urban Resilience.AI Lab, we’re like a family with a scientific mission. We highly value diversity, and focus on the real-world impact of our research. We extensively collaborate with other research groups in all continents and also with industry partners. Many of our lab alumni have joined top-notch academic and industry institutions, which we are incredibly proud of. Our lab is very dynamic, interdisciplinary, and always growing!

  • True enthusiasm and passion for research are the main criteria for admission to our lab! We welcome applicants with deep interest in solving intellectual problems in active research areas in our lab.

  • We always have openings for truly outstanding PhD students, starting at every year's spring and fall semesters. Our lab is well funded, and fully-funded research assistantships will be provided to admitted PhD students by default.

  • Interested candidates for PhD opportunities are strongly encouraged to contact Dr. Mostafavi by email. Please attach your CV, and clearly discuss your research experiences and interests. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of our research, we welcome applicants with civil engineering, computer science, system engineering, spatial computing, and data science backgrounds.

  • Postdoc positions are also available in our lab and applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Self-funded visiting scholars and research interns are welcome to apply, and will be evaluated case by case.

  • We are always welcome to working with Texas A&M undergraduates and master students for research projects. Please contact Dr. Mostafavi by email and specify your interest.
